DES MOINES, Iowa – U.S. Senator Tom Cotton, R-Ark., will return to Iowa marking his second visit to Iowa this summer. He will join U.S. Rep. Ashley Hinson, R-Iowa, at the sixth annual “Iowa Prime” fundraising event on August 20, 2021, in Fayette County. He spoke at a Republican Party of Iowa event in Sioux Center in June.

This annual event supports “prime candidates” and will support Hinson’s re-election campaign.

“I’m thrilled to join Congresswoman Ashley Hinson later this month in Iowa. Ashley is a force to be reckoned with in Washington—she is fighting Nancy Pelosi’s radical agenda and defending our values, our Constitution, and Iowa’s taxpayers every single day. Together we are going to take back the House in 2022,” Cotton said.

Cotton also visited the state in 2019 for the FAMiLY Leadership Summit, and his time in Iowa fuels 2024 Iowa Caucus speculation. Other prominent Republicans have visited Iowa this summer such as former Vice President Mike Pence, former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem. U.S. Senator Ted Cruz, R-Texas, the winner of the 2016 Iowa Caucus, will speak at Hinson’s fundraising event on August 28.

Please email rsvp@ashleyhinson.com if you’d like more information about purchasing a ticket to the “Iowa Prime” event on August 20.
