You may have noticed that The Iowa Torch has been silent for a few days, let me explain. I think most are aware that this publication is not how I earn a living. With the decline of my self-employment business during the pandemic which provided greater flexibility for me to write, I started working a full-time job since May.
In December I’ve been working a lot of mandatory overtime, client work (as I still have my business), and have been busy with family events and other activities during my free time. In addition to this I’ve was sick earlier in the month and have also injured my right knee. So, needless to say, I’ve not been able to update The Iowa Torch this month as much as I would like.
Since this publication is a one-person operation, it impacts how much is published. I need to acknowledge the busy season and my limitations. So, I’ve decided to pause publication until after the holidays and restart fresh heading into the new legislative session.
If you haven’t already, I encourage you to subscribe to our emails (no more than one email a day when we are actively publishing), that way you will be notified when I resume publishing.
Thanks for your understanding. Hope you have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
