DES MOINES, Iowa – On Monday the Brenna Bird for Iowa campaign announced that it raised $300,000 so far in 2022 and has over $227,000 cash on hand for her campaign to win the Attorney General’s race this fall. Her fundraising haul reflects records for dollars raised and cash on hand for an Iowa Attorney General’s race for the first finance report filed in an election year.
“My campaign is running full steam ahead in all of Iowa’s 99 counties and I am honored to have secured so much generous support this year,” Bird said. “It’s a reflection of the opportunity that exists to unseat a 40-year incumbent who no longer cares about the job he’s doing. When I am elected Iowa Attorney General, my plan is to take the Biden administration to court.”
Brenna Bird is running unopposed in the GOP Primary and she will challenge Democrat incumbent Tom Miller this fall. A recent poll indicates she holds a 5 percent lead over Miller.
The final report will be filed with the Iowa Ethics and Campaign Disclosure Board by May 19th.
