Hinson Selected to Serve on U.S. House Budget Committee

U.S. Rep. Ashley Hinson announced that she was selected to serve Iowans on the House Budget Committee along with her post on the House Appropriations Committee.

U.S. Rep. Ashley Hinson, R-Iowa, represents Iowa's 1st Congressional District.
She is running for re-election in the newly drawn Iowa 2nd Congressional District.

WASHINGTON – U.S. Rep. Ashley Hinson, R-Iowa, announced on Wednesday that she was selected to serve Iowans on the House Budget Committee along with her post on the House Appropriations Committee.

“I am honored to have been selected to serve Iowans on the House Budget Committee. I will use this position to help rein in Washington’s out-of-control spending habits and check Democrats’ efforts to fund a liberal wish list on the taxpayers’ dime. The taxpayers are my bosses, and this will allow me to better serve them,” she said in a released statement.

“Iowans are tired of the way Washington overspends their money with no accountability or transparency. I will be their unwavering voice as I work to reform our broken spending system and serve as the advocate taxpayers have been missing in DC,” Hinson added.
