DES MOINES, Iowa – KCCI News held a debate between the three candidates running for the Republican nomination in Iowa’s 3rd Congressional District on Saturday.

The candidates who participated are:

  • Nicole Hasso of Johnston
  • Gary Leffler of West Des Moines
  • State Senator Zach Nunn of Bondurant

The debate was held outdoors at KCCI’s studios in Des Moines. Each candidate was given one minute to answer each question and were given time to respond if mentioned by another candidate.

The Republican primary is on June 7 and the winner will face U.S. Rep. Cindy Axne, D-Iowa, in November.
