“Ashley Hinson is Nancy Pelosi’s worst nightmare — a conservative fighter who isn’t afraid to challenge the left’s tax-and-spend agenda. Ashley is working to lower taxes, hold Communist China accountable, and stand up against the harmful socialist policies the far-left is ramming through Congress. She goes above and beyond to deliver for Iowans every single day, and I’m proud to support her re-election,” Haley said in a released statement on Wednesday.

Haley, who traveled to Iowa in July, has endorsed Gov. Kim Reynolds in her re-election bid as well.

The endorsement comes through the Stand for America PAC founded by Haley. The PAC states that it supports candidates that are “principled conservatives who stand up for the ideas our country was founded on.”

“We are looking for candidates who understand what is at stake, who believe America is inherently good, and who stand against socialism. We will support candidates who understand that the Democrats’ liberal policies undermine our freedom and who have the courage to speak up even in the toughest of environments,” Stand for America PAC said in its press release.

Hinson recently launched her re-election campaign and is currently running unopposed in the Republican primary. State Senator Liz Mathis, D-Hiawatha, is currently the only Democrat running to challenge Hinson.

Haley, appointed by former President Donald Trump, served as Ambassador to the United Nations from January 25, 2017, to December 31, 2018. She served as Governor of South Carolina from 2011 to 2017. Before that, she served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011.
