DES MOINES, Iowa – Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy announced the start of a multi-million dollar ad campaign in Iowa and New Hampshire on Wednesday.
The 30 second ad entitled “Identity Crisis” takes aim at “wokeness,” gender ideology, and the “climate culture.”
“We’ve spent so much time celebrating diversity that we have forgotten the values that bind us together,” Ramaswamy said in the ad.
An Ohio native, Ramaswamy is an entrepreneur and New York Times bestselling author of Woke, Inc.: Inside Corporate America’s Social Justice Scam and Nation of Victims: Identity Politics, the Death of Merit, and the Path Back to Excellence. In 2022, he founded Strive, an Ohio-based asset management firm that directly competes with asset managers like BlackRock, State Street, Vanguard and others, use the money of everyday citizens to advance environmental and social agendas that many citizens and capital owners disagree with. He lives with his wife Apoorva and their two sons in Columbus, Ohio.
Ramaswamy, who considers himself a political outsider, campaigned last week in southwest Iowa making stops in Denison, Treynor, and Glenwood. You can watch the ad above and learn more about his campaign by visiting his website, Vivek2024.com.
