Grassley files for re-election to U.S. Senate

DES MOINES, Iowa – U.S. Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, on Friday delivered nearly 10,000 signatures of Iowans from all 99 counties as he filed to appear on the primary election ballot with the Iowa Secretary of State’s Office. Grassley was the first U.S. Senate candidate to file and delivered nearly triple the number of required signatures. After delivering the signatures, Grassley spoke to supporters in the room. Later today, Grassley will hold four Q&As as part of his annual 99 county meetings.

“I’m humbled by the number of signatures we gathered from Iowans in each of our 99 counties,” Grassley said. “We gathered nearly triple the required number of signatures in a short amount of time. That reflects our campaign’s healthy grassroots enthusiasm and hunger to get America back on track.

“The failing Democrat agenda has delivered 40-year high inflation, seven-year high gas prices, historic levels of homicides, surging carjackings and retail theft in communities across America, and record numbers of overdose deaths and migrants illegally crossing our open southern border. No matter how many times he says it, President Biden is not building America back better.

“Now that my name is officially on the ballot, we’ve got more work to do between now and Election Day. We’re growing an unbeatable grassroots organization that delivers Republican victories up and down the ticket in 2022,” Grassley concluded.
