Watch the video above and read a transcript of her comments below:
“Since taking office, I have officially visited all 20 counties in our district at least twice! From talking with farmers in Osage, to meeting with broadband providers in Anamosa, touring small businesses in Northwood and Maquoketa, and hosting in-person town halls in Manchester, Oelwein, and Vinton, I’ve been collecting feedback, stories, and ideas from Iowans that I will bring back with me to Washington, D.C.
“Iowans across our district are tired of the chaos and dysfunction in Washington D.C., and they’re tired of their taxpayer dollars being treated like monopoly money as the Administration and Democrats in Congress announce trillion dollar spending package after trillion dollar spending package. Iowans work hard for their money, and they don’t want to be stuck with the bill for policies that they don’t support.
“Additionally, between the Administration ignoring the needs of the biofuel industry here in Iowa and also the plans to repeal the 2020 Navigable Waters Protection Rule, our farmers and rural communities feel like they are under attack right now.
“As our economy re-opens and life starts to gets back to normal, I’ll continue to advocate for the needs of rural Iowans and rural America, fight to protect your taxpayer dollars, and bring those Iowa kitchen table perspectives to the policy-making tables in Washington, D.C.”
