DES MOINES, Iowa – U.S. Rep. Cindy Axne, D-Iowa, is the target of a $300,000 ad campaign by American Action Network. The ad buy in Iowa is part of a $1,000,000 issue advocacy campaign criticizing Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s infrastructure bill.

The ad showcases testimony from the owner of a small manufacturing business speaking out on the impact the spending in the infrastructure bill would make on companies like his who struggled to survive the pandemic.

“This is just the first step of our efforts to ensure Americans understand the disastrous consequences Pelosi’s plan would bear for families, small businesses, and our economic recovery,” AAN President Dan Conston said. “Families and small businesses need a lifeline to get back on their feet, instead, Pelosi is rubbing salt in their wounds by sticking them with the bill for her liberal political agenda. This plan is all the wrong priorities for what America needs and it’s why lawmakers must fight to stop it.”

The American Action Network is a 501(c)(4) ‘action tank’ that creates, encourages and promotes center-right policies based on the principles of freedom, limited government, American exceptionalism, and strong national security.

Watch the ad above and read the transcript of the ad below:

“I look at this infrastructure bill and it makes my skin crawl. I’m trying to run a business. We’ve been fighting like hell to get back on our feet. And Nancy Pelosi is kicking us while we’re down is a $2 trillion bill and well under 10% is actually going to infrastructure. It’s a lie. The way they’re gonna pay for it is a big tax hike on companies like mine. This bill is going to kill jobs here. It’s going to put companies out of business, and it’s going to crush working-class families. Call Cindy Axne, tell her to oppose Pelosi’s fake infrastructure plan.”
