MARION, Iowa – U.S. Rep. Ashley Hinson, R-Iowa, announced she raised over $570,000 in the first quarter of 2021 and will report more than $400,000 cash on hand for the upcoming 2022 race in Iowa’s 1st Congressional District. Hinson also added over 3,500 new donors in the first quarter of fundraising after the 2020 election.
“I am humbled and inspired by the incredible financial support our campaign received this quarter. One thing is clear, the chaos and dysfunction from a Speaker Pelosi-controlled House is unacceptable to Iowans. I will continue to fight against this every single day and work with anyone who is willing to do the real work to solve problems Iowa families face each day. I look forward to being a part of returning Speaker Pelosi’s gavel to the American people when we take back the majority in 2022,” Hinson said in a released statement.
In the 2020 election, Ashley earned 211,767 votes in her race for Congress – the most any Republican candidate has ever received in Iowa’s 1st Congressional District. Hinson raised more than $5 million last cycle.
